Ahhh, the decisive moment done to perfection. And probably achieved without a motor drive. Luck? Skill? Knowing you, probably the latter but I’m curious to find out if you were able to time the bouncing ball before the actual shot.

  It’s a mixture of luck and skill. This is the one shot out of a series of three. His way of pitching the ball had a certain rhythm. Capturing the decisive moment was easier. I just followed the rhythm. Seeing it, walking into them, recognizing the rhythm and taking the pictures had been one operation.

Mir gefällt besonders gut, daß der Junge direkt in die Kamera schaut. Das bringt noch mal eine besondere Nähe in die Szene. Wie dicht bist du eigentlich an dem Jungen mit dem Ball dran? Man hat das Gefühl, daß du ihn im nächsten Moment anrempelst.
